REC - Record, experiment, connect | Podcast workshop at BlaBlaLab

RECORD
Throughout the workshop, you’ll get a complete introduction to our podcasting station: mixer, headphones, microphones, computer—the whole setup. We’ll walk you through how each piece of equipment works and how to take an idea from conception to a finished recording. By the end of the meeting, you will have acquired all the necessary skills to record your content.

During the workshop, we will also explore how to shape a podcast format that reflects your voice and vision. From finding the right tone to structuring an episode, you’ll learn how to turn stories, interviews, or ideas into engaging audio journeys. Creating a podcast is more than just pressing "record"—it’s about designing an experience.

EXPERIMENT
As a group, we’ll invent a fictional podcast concept from scratch: from tone and structure to the name, intro, and key segments. Then, we’ll bring it to life by recording a pilot episode where everyone can play a part—hosting, interviewing, sound designing, or storytelling.

Bring a podcast you like and have been listening to; we will go through its structure and use it as a reference for our experiment.

CONNECT
To kick-start your creative journey, every participant will receive 8 hours of free access to our podcast station. This includes all the gear you’ll need to develop your episode or project. Whether you’re planning your first series or just want to experiment, this can be your space.

This workshop is part of our dedicated series of events to introduce you to our equipment, space and community. Moreover, it is an opportunity to unite people that have a passion for making (or just listening to) podcasts; so that they can get to know each other and collaborate, exchanging references and ideas.
