I bwy mae'r hyfforddiant? Actorion, actorion newydd ac unrhyw un sydd â diddordeb mewn dysgu acen RP.

Nod y cwrs? Bydd Emma yn eich tywys i archwilio Ynganiad Derbyniedig (RP) gan eich helpu i ddarganfod eich sain ddilys. Bydd sesiynau'n ymdrin â hanes, corfforoldeb, a thechnegau penodol yr acen. Byddwn yn mynd i'r afael â phryder perfformio a'i effaith ar waith acen, gan gynnig strategaethau ar gyfer aros ar y trywydd iawn. Byddwn hefyd yn nodi ac yn mynd i'r afael ag unrhyw arferion sy'n rhwystro eich gwaith acen, gan eich grymuso i ddefnyddio acenion newydd neu acenion a ailymwelwyd â nhw yn hyderus.

Erbyn diwedd yr hyfforddiant, dylech chi allu:

· Adnabod synau allweddol acen RP

· Archwilio gosodiadau'r acen.

· Archwilio'r parthau a'r lleoliad i angori'r acen

· Deall rhythm ac egni'r acen

· Deall y prif newidiadau mewn llafariaid a chytseiniaid

Beth i'w ddod gyda chi neu ei baratoi? (os yn berthnasol): Monolog addas ar gyfer acen RP. Ceisiwch ddewis un sydd wedi'i ysgrifennu yn yr acen.

Bywgraffiad: Mae Emma wedi gweithio fel hyfforddwr llais ac acen ers 2002, gan ennill MA o Royal Central (Llundain) yn 2004. Am y ddau ddegawd diwethaf, mae hi wedi darlithio mewn Llais a Thafodiaith ledled Cymru ac Ewrop, gan gynnwys Coleg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru, Prifysgol Caerdydd, Theatr Frenhinol Caerfaddon, Theatr Caersallog, Theatr Brycheiniog, NYTW a Choleg y Drindod Dewi Sant. Hi yw Hyfforddwr Llais Preswyl Theatr Na nOg. Mae ei chredydau ffilm a theledu yn cynnwys gwaith gyda'r BBC, Netflix, a Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, ac ar hyn o bryd hi yw hyfforddwr tafodiaith The Forsyte Saga (PBS/ Mammoth Screen).

Who is the training for? Actors, aspring actors and anyone intersted in learning the RP accent.

Aim of the course? Emma will guide you in exploring Received Pronunciation (RP) helping you discover your authentic sound. Sessions will cover the history, physicality, and specific techniques of the accent. We'll address performance anxiety and its impact on accent work, offering strategies for staying on track. We'll also identify and address any habits that hinder your accent work, empowering you to use new or revisited accents with confidence.

By the end of the training, you should be able to:

· Identify the key sounds of the RP accent

· Explore the settings of the accent.

· Explore the zones and placement to anchor the accent

· Understand the rhythm and energy of the accent

· Understand the major vowel and consonant changes

What to bring or prepare? (if applicable): An appropriate monologue for an RP accent. Try to choose one that is written in the accent.

Biog: Emma has worked as a voice and accent coach since 2002, earning an MA from Royal Central (London) in 2004. For the past two decades, she has lectured in Voice and Dialect across Wales and Europe, including The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Cardiff University, Theatre Royal Bath, Salisbury Playhouse, Theatr Brycheiniog, NYTW and Trinity College St David's. She is Voice Coach in Residence for Theatr Na nOg. Her film and TV credits include work with the BBC, Netflix, and National Theatre Wales, and she is currently the dialect coach for The Forsyte Saga (PBS/ Mammoth Screen).

CULT Cymru workshops are delivered in a friendly and non-threatening environment where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and raise issues during the day.

Cancellation and Refunds Policy

A full refund will be issued to delegates who cancel at least 2 weeks prior to the event. Delegates who cancel within the 2 week period will not be eligible for a refund unless we are able to find someone else to take their place. Please let us know as soon as possible if you find you're no longer able to attend the workshop.
