Wed 7 December 2016, 18:00 – 20:00 GMT
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of severe memory problems in old age. During the Public Lecture Professor Allsop will describe what happens to the brain in Alzheimer’s disease, and will give a realistic view on how far away we are from developing an effective treatment for this condition. Possible causes of the disease, including the recent discovery by scientists at Lancaster University of possible links with environmental pollution, will also be discussed.
