Reception Phonics and writing Information Session

We are really pleased with the progress the children in Reception are making in their

phonics. For this reason, we will be holding a phonics and writing information session

focusing on the extended code, on Wednesday 28th January at 9am and 4pm. The

sessions will be about an hour.

This session will build on the previous session you attended at the start of the year. We

will explain the progression in the phonics model, how we teach it at school and we will

also give you ways to continue to support your child at home. We will also look at how we

teach writing at school and what you can do to support your child’s writing at home.

The session will be held in the school hall. Please enter through the school office entrance

and a teacher will come to collect you.
