Join us for the third in our Autumn 2020 recital series, featuring the talented soprano Martha Hayward.

About this Event

We are very pleased to welcome the soprano Martha Hayward to Bradford Cathedral to give an exciting performance for the third recital in our Autumn series.

Martha graduated with an MMus at the Leeds College of Music and is kindly supported by the Dewar Arts Award and the YLCE.

Martha enjoys singing as an oratorio soloist, concert soloist, wedding singer, chorister and has performed as Patience (Patience), Phyllis (Iolanthe) and Yum-Yum (Mikado) with the University of Aberdeen Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

Recent solo engagements have included Rutter's Requiem, St Luke Passion, Handel's Messiah, Poulenc's Gloria, Dvorak's Stabat Mater, Vivaldi's Gloria, Mozart's Missa Solemnis, Pergolesi’s Salve Regina and Rutter’s Magnificat, and Rutter’s Requiem.

She has sung with Bradford Cathedral Consort, and the innovative vocal ensemble, Albion, with whom she has recorded solo tracks on their CD's, "These Islands" and "In Cloudless Sunshine". She has collaborated live on BBC Radio One with Clean Bandit and the BBC Philharmonic and sang solo for HRH Prince Charles in Holyrood Palace with the Edinburgh Festival Chorus.

The maximum number of people we can have for this event is 36, so book early whilst there are spaces!

If you cannot make the concert it is being streamed live on YouTube (please see below).

The concert will start at 12.30pm and will last approximately 40 minutes. There is no admittance after this point and the gate will be locked. All necessary hygiene and safety measures have been put in place, including a one-way system, hand sanitisation, and social distancing. Please bring a mask.

Donations are encouraged so that we may continue to put on concerts like this. Our donations policy is 'pay as you feel'.
