What is Safe Place?

Safe Place was launched by Onus on a regional basis in February 2011, and is supported by a diverse range of organisations, including sole traders, employers, community groups, schools and churches. Safe Place is an initiative offering information on the wide range of services available to anyone affected by domestic abuse. Any organisation can become a Safe Place.

Following the information session you will have the opportunity to register your business, organisation or community group as a Safe Place and be provided with a supply of Safe Place resources. As a Safe Place you will display the Safe Place logo which indicates that information on services for anyone affected by domestic abuse is available on the premises, organisations will not have to do anything beyond signposting people to the appropriate services.

Onus will provide information and support to all who sign up to the scheme.
