Description
Recognising Teaching Excellence Workshops give attendees a thorough understanding of the Professional Standards for Medical Educators and enable them to start mapping their skills and achievements against them. They also support anyone who is about to undergo accreditation as an educational or clinical supervisor or who is responsible for the clinical education of undergraduate medical, dental and veterinary students.
There is a £25 administration fee for the workshop. However attendees will subsequently be able to make an application for Membership or Fellowship of the Academy free of charge. (The application fee is normally £25.) The session will be delivered by Julie Browne, MA, PGCE, SFHEA, FAcadMEd, Senior Lecturer in Academic Practice and Course Lead, Intercalated BSc in Medical Education, Cardiff University School of Medicine, and Deputy Chair, Academy of Medical Educators; and Professor Nick Cooper, Associate Professor for Clinical Education and Programme Lead for the Masters in Clinical Education at PUPSMD and Lead Assessor for the Academy.
