The SCQF Partnership is pleased to be able to offer a 1/2 day sector specific Recognition of Prior Learning session, on this occasion we will be looking at RPL best practice within the Creative Industries.
A great deal of informal, self-directed and peer-to peer learning and development happens across the Creative industries sector. The effective use of the Recognition of Prior Learning would enable individuals to benefit from having this wide range of additional learning formally recognised across the sector and employers to benefit in terms of being able to more effectively assess potential employees within the recruitment process and to identify appropriate CPD for existing employees.
By clarifying some of the terms and uses for RPL the SCQF Partnership endeavours to build a shared understanding of the common features, approaches and issues around RPL.
The aims of this workshop are to:
- Highlight strategic developments around RPL across Scotland
- Share good practice in the use of RPL for supporting learner journeys in the Creative Industries sector
- Discuss the way forward for RPL in the sector in Scotland
- For RPL providers this session will offer guidance and case studies on the implementation of RPL processes.
