Event Details

A great deal of informal, self-directed and peer-to peer learning and development happens across the Justice sector in Scotland. The effective use of the Recognition of Prior Learning would enable individuals to benefit from having this wide range of additional learning formally recognised across these sectors. Employers can also benefit in terms of being able to more effectively assess potential employees within the recruitment process and to identify appropriate CPD for existing employees.

By clarifying some of the terms and uses for RPL the SCQF Partnership aims to build a shared understanding of the common features, approaches and issues around RPL.

The aims of this event are to:

  • Highlight strategic developments around RPL across Scotland
  • Share good practice in the use of RPL for supporting learner journeys in the Justice sector
  • Discuss the way forward for RPL in these sectors in Scotland

For RPL providers this session will offer guidance and case studies on the implementation of RPL processes.
