Reconnect - express yourself series - marbelling
Magnetic Ideals are excited to announce this workshop as part of a free training and skills sessions programme to develop new skills and help build community through creativity and confidence building. The programme is here to help you Reconnect with your life and purpose, and we look forward to sharing this journey with you!
What is marbling?
Water-based marbling art, or paper marbling, offers significant mental health benefits. This calming, meditative activity reduces stress as watching colors swirl and blend on water soothes the mind. As a contemplative practice, marbling promotes mindfulness by encouraging focus on the present moment and the mesmerizing movement of colours and patterns. It effectively relieves anxiety, teaching acceptance and letting go, which helps individuals cope with uncontrollable situations.
Marbling also serves as a creative outlet, allowing for artistic self-expression without the pressure of realistic representations, boosting confidence and self-esteem. The process of marbling has shown positive effects on depression, anxiety, and hopelessness, especially for those with trauma or mental health issues. Marbling connects human energy with nature through water, fostering harmony and well-being. This peaceful, immersive art form combines creativity, mindfulness, and relaxation, promoting mental well-being while creating unique and beautiful works of art.
