🌿 Reconnect: A Journey For Well-Being

This series invites you to reconnect with your body, emotions, and inner vitality through a creative, somatic approach. ✨

Rooted in over two decades of experience in movement, dance, and theatre facilitation, Reconnect offers an inclusive, non-judgmental space for embodied self-exploration, emotional regulation, and community connection.

Sessions take place fortnightly, giving time to pause, reflect, and integrate between gatherings. You’re welcome to join the full journey for deeper growth, or drop into individual sessions whenever it suits you.

👥 Who Is It For?

Adults of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds — anyone seeking to feel more in tune with themselves, reduce stress, and explore movement as a pathway to well-being.

🌟 These sessions are guided with care, inclusivity, and respect. Everyone is encouraged to move at their own pace and honour their own needs, while supporting the comfort and boundaries of others.

🌸 What to Expect

No dance or movement experience is needed. You’ll be guided to move at your own pace, focusing on presence and authentic expression rather than performance or skill.

Across the sessions, we’ll return to simple yet powerful practices, including:

🌬️ Somatic movement & breathwork

🌍 Grounding exercises & body listening

🎶 Guided improvisation — discovering your unique movement

🎨 Creative expression & reflective tasks

🤸 Meet the Facilitator

Hi, I’m Yuyu Rau — a mindful movement facilitator and dance artist with over 20 years’ experience in dance, theatre, and creative education. I hold an MA in Theatre for Community and Education (Distinction, Mountview) and am trained in trauma-informed and inclusive practice.

My passion is creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and express themselves freely. For me, mindful movement is about authenticity, presence, and listening to what the body truly needs.

Lasting change takes time — it begins with feeling safe, building trust, and growing step by step. I look forward to walking this journey with you, building the bridge between body and mind.

💬 What Participants Say 💫

"...the mind and body connections are really empowering. I felt able to connect to my body again. It relaxed any tension happening in my muscles, which I did not realise in my daily life."

“Yuyu creates a space that meets you exactly where you are — whatever your mood or level of experience. Her teaching makes me feel free, reflective, and connected. This is such important work.”

“Rejuvenated, hopeful, intrigued — a space to express.”

“You don’t need to be a dancer to feel the benefit of this class. You can never do too much reconnecting with mind, breath, and body."
