Event description

Description

In a world where we are surrounded by distractions and to-do lists, where we are striving and overexerting, we are often pulled in multiple directions. And in that busyness we lose touch with who we truly are.

Through taking time out to reflect and reconnect with the multiple layers of our being; our body, our breath and our mind, we can rediscover the joy that is inherently within every one of us so that it can infuse into all dimensions of our lives and allow us to thrive.

This weekend of inspiring day retreats in early February is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself. Whether you are attending one or both of the days, you will be creating space to tune into what is present for you at the start of the New Year in order for you to move forward with clarity and flourish throughout the year ahead.

The retreat day mornings will comprise of welcome teas upon arrival, yoga with me, free time for walking or relaxing in the hot tub, followed by a delicious and nourishing lunch. On Saturday afternoon there will be a mindset coaching workshop with Nicola Ménage (Saturday is sold out) and on Sunday afternoon there will be a nutrition workshop with Louise Lewis. After a break for tea, both Saturday and Sunday will finish with a relaxing gong bath with Carole Love. Together as a team we bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of wellbeing and we’re looking forward to sharing this special weekend with you.

THE YOGA

I will guide you through a yoga practice combining asana, pranayama and meditation to allow you to connect with your body, your breath and your mind. Through releasing tension and creating space in the body and the mind there will be the opportunity to peel away any stresses and strains which are on the periphery to bring greater focus to what lies within. The yoga practice will be suitable for all levels of experience, including those newer to yoga.

THE NUTRITION WORKSHOP (SUNDAY)

Louise will guide you through an interactive workshop exploring how you can maintain healthy eating habits despite the busyness of day to day life. For many reasons we can sometimes become disconnected from our physical health and we can stop listening to what our body is telling us. In this workshop you’ll identify situations where you find it challenging to maintain a balanced diet and through tuning into your body, you’ll discover ways in which your body might be telling you that it’s out of balance. You’ll come away with some tips focusing on how you can integrate nutritionally rich foods into your diet to support a lifestyle which enables you to thrive.

Louise has a passion for how nutrition can support a healthy lifestyle. She is a Registered Nutritional Therapist with both BANT (the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) and the CNHC (the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Commission).

THE GONG SOUND BATH

Sound healing is one of the oldest and most ancient forms of healing and dates back thousands of years. The sacred sound of the gongs produce frequencies that can help resolve emotional, physical or spiritual dissonance; helping us find balance and harmony.

During the sound bath the gongs will generate waves of sound that intersperse with and bathe over your entire body – reaching parts of you that aren’t always reachable with other modalities. These powerful gongs are invaluable tools for stress reduction and personal transformation, allowing you to rediscover your true sense of self and reconnect to your own inner peace.

As a qualified Gong Practitioner, Carole is a registered member of The College of Sound Healing. She is also a qualified Health Kinesiologist and Biofeedback Practitioner. Her passion and joy is helping to bring transformation and a deeper sense of connection to those who are seeking real change and a different way of being - be this on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level.

THE VENUE

The retreat space is a stunning contemporary barn nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. It’s light and airy, with oak wooden floors and high ceilings. There’s a footpath on the doorstep which will lead you out into the glorious Oxfordshire countryside and there’s also a hot tub for you to relax in after the yoga.

Charlotte will be preparing a nourishing lunch which will be vegetarian, gluten free and refined-sugar free. Any special diets can be catered for; please advise me of any specific requirements when booking.
