The College has teamed up with Radcliffes Le Brasseur which are the legal firm that deal with members medical malpractice claims. The course is from 10.30am until 3.30pm at

Throughout the day we will extensively look at the COPs Record Keeping and Consent Standards. It is an interactive day which will cover, how to write good patient notes, the legal requirements surrounding patient notes, how to audit your own patient notes, consent for treatment, facts and figures regarding litigation, plus there is a section on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you do not comply with the COP Clinical Standards then you may leave yourself potentially uninsured and wide open to criticism by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) should an allegation be made against you, or the patient notes will not be defensible in court.
This course is usually over subscribed so please book early to avoid dissapointment.
The fee for the course is £95, or £85 for those attending from an Accredited Practice
Lunch, teas and coffees, will be provided on the day.
You will need to arrange and fund your own travel arrangements getting to and from the venue.
