Record Keeping in a Crisis

As a leader, commander or a manager in a company this course is for both yourself and your nominated loggist to attend. Personally protecting your organisation, in case you find yourself in a court having to justify and acts or ommissions your may have made. Did you make the right decision? Can you rememeber? Think about the timescale over Hillsborough.

Logging both incident data and decisions made is a crucial element of and incident management plan, and should also form part of normal day practice for some organisations.

Course Content

During this course you will learn:

  • The role of the loggist
  • The different types of logging - personal, decision, and incident
  • Logging information electronically and on paper
  • Logging RESTRICTED information
  • Post incident actions

Who should attend?

The training is aimed at anyone who has a role in responding to an incident and is a member of an incident management team. It is not just aimed at 'administration staff' although it is important that they attend. The senior management team at tactical and strategic levels who may need to justify the advice they have given and for more junior staff who may have to account for their actions. If you are involved in an incident somehow - you should attend this course!

Duration

The training is a 6.5 hour course. This course can be held on your own site if there is a minimum of 10 candidates, so please contact us direct.
