Event description
AI: Legal Challenges in the US and in Europe. This webinar was held on 30 June 2021.

About this event

With increasing computing power, improved algorithms and the availability of massive amounts of visual data, Artificial Intelligence ("AI") has the power of shaping the digital marketplace for visual content creators and producers. This raises a number of legal questions around data and copyright ownership, permission and privacy issues.

The CEPIC panel will bring two legal experts from both sides of the Atlantic and a picture industry professional to answer these questions and share their experience.

  • Sophie Gossens, Partner at Reed Smith LLP, copyright, digital media and technology expert - EU copyright law and public affairs specialist.
  • Nancy Wolff, Partner at Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard, LLP, Legal Counsel of DMLA
  • Mark Milstein, Rainmaker at vAIsual & Managing Director at Microstocksolutions LLC.

Join us on Wednesday 30th June at 17:00 CET to listen to them and ask your own questions. Session opens at 16.45 H CET

As per CEPIC’s usual webinar format, there will be a half hour panel presentation followed by another half hour of questions and feedback from participants. CEPIC’s webinars are interactive and allow participants to network virtually.
