Event description

Description

The Recovery Games involve teams of a minimum of 8 people (No maximum) from services within the substance misuse or directly related fields across the United Kingdom. The teams can be made up of
service users and their families as well as staff. (needs to be an equal service user to staff ratio)

The event will include fun, competitive, inclusive team based games.
These will be delivered in a similar format to “it’s a knock out” style
activities. To include archery, inflatable assault courses, water based activities to suit all abilities and age groups.

The main purpose of the event is to promote that recovery does and
can happen and reduce the stigma faced by substance users and their families. Also to promote physical activities and making connections with the local and wider recovery community and services.

On the day itself as well as the converted Recovery Games Trophy up for grabs prizes will also be awarded to the best dressed/themed team as well as an award to the team that shows great supporting attributes to themselves and their competitors.

The colour festival will also be making a return and will go ahead during the half time break.

Whilst the recovery games is free of charge to enter so that we can continue to deliver this exicting event each year. We are asking teams to make a voluntary donation to enter, there will be plenty of oppertunities on the day to make a contribution or alterantively you can donate directly via the link below.

Any contribution would be really appreciated.
