Recovery & Wellbeing In Practice 1/2 day course

We consider this course as part of our Core Learning series. We view this course as one of the essentials for all staff and volunteers who are supporting people who have mental health difficulties.
Aims of the course
This couse focuses on how and why working with recovery and wellbeing is an underpinning framework to all mental health work.
Objectives of the course
- Develop the practical habits and ways of working that builds recovery
- Gain a good understanding about why recovery is an essential practice
- Explore the different dimensions of what underpins recovery practice
Duncan Wallace is the Learning and Development coordinator at Health in Mind. Duncan worked and lived with people who are homeless in London and Glasgow before moving into staff training and organizational development work where he has worked with many different types of health and social care organisations.
Alan Burnett is our Learning & Development Assistant with over 30 Years of lived experience of mental health issues
Terms and conditions
This course is in our Shandwick Place training room, which is not accessible for physical disabilities. Please contact us if this affects you and we will relocate the course immediately. The course includes teas, coffee and biscuits but does not include lunch as there are lots of lunch outlet choices just beside us.

If you need to cancel your booking and give more than two weeks’ notice, we will refund your payment in full. If you cancel with less than two weeks’ notice, we will refund 50% of your fee.
