Recruiting and Valuing Volunteers
An interactive workshop run on behalf of the Third Age Trust
Who is it for?
Officers and Committee members
Prospective Committee members
Groups Coordinators (those who manage the groups within the U3A)
Why should you come?
To explore what volunteering means within your U3A..
To share ideas on a topic that presents difficulties for many U3As
What will we cover
- Volunteer motivations
- Recruitment strategies
- Succession planning
- Creating a culture of volunteering
- Action planning
How will we do it?
The workshops are interactive. You will be encouraged to sit with members from U3As other than your own so that you can learn from each other. The workshop offers a combination of presented material, group discussion and exercises. The final part of the day will involve some action planning of ideas to take back to your U3A.
Organised by
The u3a movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, through its u3as, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!
