About: This event is perfect for any recruitment business owner or Director who wants to ensure they have all the elements in place to take their business to the next level. We'll look at how to grow your business in size and profit, how to expand across new sectors and industries and well as international and how to make sure you have the core blocks in place to support this growth. We'll be using real case studies from successful recruitment firms with Directors speaking candidly about their own experiences.
The event is ONLY open to Director level (and above) recruiters. If you are a Managing Director, Operations Director, Commercial Director or CEO of a recruitment consultancy then please register. Recruitment Directors within corporate firms are also welcome to attend. We are also unfortunately unable to accommodate non executive directors at these events.

Jack graduated from Manchester University in 1998 and within 11 months co-owned his first recruitment business which is now part of the Pertemps group. In 2002 he co-founded banking and finance recruitment firm The Ocean Partnership followed by property & surveying recruiter The Oyster Partnership in January 2004. Jack is responsible for the operations and strategy of the businesses.
Oyster has won many awards and accolades including mentions in the The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 and Recruitment International’s Top 250. Jack has been planning and scaling Oyster for a period of accelerated growth for the last 6 months and is on the verge of rolling out their 3 year strategy.
James Parsons is co-founder and CEO at Arrows Group, a multi sector specialist recruiter that operates in the TMT and Healthcare markets. James graduated in Economics from Newcastle University in 1998 and has been working in the recruitment sector for the last 13 years.
James initially worked for Allegis Group and then S3 and in 2003 left to establish Arrows Group and has overseen the companies growth and expansion over the past 9 years. Arrows Group now achieves annual sales of circa £25 million, employs over 90 staff, with offices in the UK and the Netherlands and was recently recognised as the 5th fastest growing recruitment company in the UK.
Ben is a Director at Black Swan Group. Ben graduated in 2005 from the University of Southampton having read Geography. He was the University of Southampton's student union president during his time, taking a lead on the welfare and rights of 22,000 students and managing a multi-million pound budget, the student sporting teams and facilities and the entertainment facilities that the university provides. Ben was tasked with initiating a compliance recruitment desk and progressed within one year to manage four staff as he grew this team and then further staff when he was charged with re-launching their risk function. Ben was continually a top biller in the company and always managed further staff.
At The Black Swan Group, Ben is the Director in charge of the leading the strategy, vision and operational best practice for the business, managing the support functions and operations of The Black Swan Group as a business, while still placing candidates within the compliance and risk space.
