We’re excited to announce the return of our public visits to the MRF during Recycle Week! Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at what happens to your recycling after it’s collected from your doorstep. If you’re a resident of Bracknell Forest, Reading, or Wokingham Boroughs, and curious to see how thousands of tonnes of plastics, paper, metals, and cardboard are sorted, we’d love for you to visit!
Fully guided and FREE tours are available during the Recycle Week on following days (18+ only):
Wednesday, 24th September - 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Thursday, 25th September - 11.00am - 1.00pm
Thursday, 25th September - 2pm - 4pm

What is included in the tour?
The event includes presentation and a guided tour, followed by Q&A part. The participants must follow the instructions and guidance of the tour leader.
Are there minimum age requirements to enter the Material Recycling Facility?
Yes, due to health and safety requirements, you need to be over 18 years old the access to the Material Facility Facility.
Can I attend the tour if I have any medical codition?
Please be aware that this tour is not suitable for any people who have pace makers. Please let us know in advance if any of the following apply to you: mobility issues, health and safety issues; fear of heights.
Where should I park?
You are responsible for getting to the plant yourself, where parking is available. Please take the second turning on the left hand side and use any spaces available. The address is: re3, Island Road, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 0RP.
What should I wear?
You will be provided with the full PPE and suitable footwaer. Please wear comfortable clothing. All guests are required to wear trousers (skirts are not allowed).
