The competition will run in the same method as a powerlifting or weightlifting competition, in that each lift will have 3 attempts, each attempt will be a 'rising bar'. You will lift when your weight is loaded onto the equipment. Athletes will provide opening attempts at weigh in.

How is each lift judged?

Items will be lifted from the floor and locked out overhead. A down signal will be given when both feet are in line, arms and legs are locked out and the referee deems the lifter to be in control of the weight. Dumbbell will be lifted to the shoulder with 2 hands, pressed with 1.

Is there parking on site?

Yes. Just please keep in mind that the site is a working yard with other business's and residents on site. If you park somewhere with a residents only sign or are blocking access, you will be asked to move your vehicle, even if you're about to go on the platform, you've been warned!

Are spectators allowed?

Yes. The gym is only small so we do limit the numbers of spectators so please keep this in mind. Spectators will be charged £5 on the door.
