Event description
Please join us for this guided tour of William Morris's family home.

About this Event

Commissioned by Morris in 1859 and designed by Philip Webb, this is an iconic Arts and Crafts home which was also a hub for the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.

Although now in the suburbs of London, Red House was built as a rural idyll for William and Jane Morris. The house is expressive of some of the ideals of Morris and his friends and still holds original furniture and decoration designed and created by Webb, Rossetti, Morris and others.

The tour will be split into two groups, with a chance for each to explore the gardens, cafe and shop whilst the other has an expert-guided tour around this fascinating building.

In addition to the small booking fee, the standard National Trust entry fee of £8.50 per person (for non-National Trust members) will be payable on the door. There is no additional cost for National Trust members, but please bring your membership card on the day.
