In the era of political ‘What the fucks?’ What part has technology played in sculpting this situation? New social spaces and paradigms of interaction facilitated by the ever expanding digital platforms offer highly manipulable environments which are yet to be fully understood. Opening a space for unparalleled otherness, the potential for such technology is currently being defined, but to what end?
This RED TAPE event will explore ‘social digital spaces’, examining the traditional boundaries, framing it with a positive attitude and acknowledging technology as part of our nature in order to build multiple variables of possible social spaces. We would like to test and expand such spaces from a human-centred perspective and establish a constructive-critical attitude towards such technologies, In this discussion we hope to shrink the division-logic between our environment and us in an effort to create empathetic bridges that support positive change in communities and the world.
