Red Tractor Member Meeting - Midlands
Thu 11 May 2017, 18:30 – 21:00 BST
Red Tractor, in partnership with the Certification Bodies, invites you to attend an evening meeting to hear about how we work with licensees (people who put the Red Tractor logo on products) to ensure the integrity of the logo throughout the supply chain and what they are doing to promote Red Tractor food to consumers.
18.30 - Registration and light supper available
19.00 - Sue Brotherhood, Independent Assessor. A traceability challenge - what does it entail?
To uphold the integrity of the logo from farm to store, Red Tractor carries out traceability challenges on the companies licensed to use it. This involves a team inspecting a licensee’s premises to ensure that when it says Red Tractor on the pack, it’s Red Tractor in the pack.
19.20 - Damian Storie, Head of Freshmeat and Poultry at Bidvest Foodservice. Guaranteeing consumer confidence from farm to fork.
Bidvest is a foodservice wholesaler and distributer supplying fresh and frozen products to customers within foodservice and catering. They have been a Red Tractor licensee since 2009, and since then have significantly increased their Red Tractor offering, recognising that provenance and traceability are increasing concerns for their customers.
19.40 - Questions and discussion on presentations
20.00 - Red Tractor update: to include information about the 2017 Standards Review and consumer marketing.
20.30 - Questions
21.00 - Close
