Event description

At the end of 2016, we launched a support programme for Midlands and East health and social care systems to increase awareness and understanding of the Red and Green Bed Days process. Red2Green is a simple approach designed to reduce unnecessary waiting for patients.

Building on the success of the launch events at the end of last year, these Sharing Success events are a fantastic opportunity to:

  • share your successes in implementing Red2Green within your systems
  • present the journey you have been on and the achievements you have made
  • learn from colleagues about their experiences over the last six months of the programme
  • think about how you’ll continue your work and implement new ideas over the coming weeks and months

We are delighted to have Paul Plsek confirmed to chair the day. A world-renowned expert in the management of change in complex systems, his work can be best described as ‘helping organisations think better’.

In the UK, Paul has two decades of experience working with the NHS and social services and has led various improvement and leadership development programmes. He will be working with you to look at the changes you have made as part of Red2Green and how those can be sustained and embedded going forward – what is the ‘recipe for success’?

You’ll also hear from clinical experts from across the health and social care system including Dr Ian Sturgess, specialist in quality improvement for whole system urgent and emergency care, and a passionate advocate for the modernisation and effective integration of frail older people's pathways.

You’ll hear case studies from organisations across Midlands and East, and learn how the growing momentum for Red2Green will be sustained, both across the region and nationally.

Please register as soon as possible as spaces are limited, and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Who should attend: The events are open to colleagues from all health and social care systems in the Midlands and East region, and it is suggested that around five people per system attend.

Attendance is encouraged from frontline operational, clinical and managerial staff of all grades.
