Redefining Resolution: a new approach for managing grievances, complaints and workplace disputes.
Thursday, 17 March 2016 from 17:15 to 20:00 (GMT)
- Do you spend too much of your valuable time dealing with grievances, bullying allegations, complaints and quarrels?
- Do your managers stick their heads in the sand instead of dealing with tough workplace issues?
- Does your organisation spend too much money on pay-offs, settlement agreements and tribunals?
- Do you wish that there was a better way?
Mediation could be the answer you are looking for.
You may have heard of mediation, in fact you may already be using it in your organisation. However, mediation is still widely under-utilised and it remains shrouded in mystery and confusion.
This interactive and engaging event will explore the structure, role and benefits of mediation. We will explore how organisations like Royal Mail, Lloyds Bank and numerous public bodies are creating the systems, processes, cultures and management behaviours that promote dialogue and encourage co-operative problem solving.
By the end of this event, you will hopefully be convinced that mediation could play a larger part in your organisation and, dare I say it, your traditional grievance procedure should be shredded and replaced with a Resolution Policy. Free copies of the TCM Model Resolution Policy that has been adopted in Lloyds Bank and The Lancaster Hotel will be provided for all attendees.
Our speaker is David Liddle, CEO of The TCM Group. For the past 23 years David has been successfully promoting the principles and practices of mediation and non-violence across numerous walks of life including neighbourhoods, schools, prisons, workplaces and boardrooms.
David has been instrumental in transforming attitudes to conflict management and he has played a major role in cementing mediation as a credible and mainstream activity for some of the most well-known and valued brands.
As the Founder and CEO of The TCM Group, one of Europe’s leading dispute resolution companies, David works with some of the world’s top mediators and trainers of mediators. They deliver enhanced performance and efficiency; improved wellbeing and resilience; greater levels of engagement; and a significant reduction in the cost of stress, conflict and litigation.
Arrival is from 17:15 for light refreshments and networking. The event will start at 17:45 and finish at 19:30 to 20:00.
