On 5th October, as part of its Refugee Response Project, RedR UK will be running a Coordination Workshop in conjunction with the Stanley Thomas Johnson Foundation. The aim of this event is to create a more coordinated response to the refugee crisis by bringing together different indviduals and organisations involved in the response.
It will give the key actors in Calais the opportunity to discuss the benefits of coordination and to also explore any challenges that they have faced.
The event will be chaired by Imogen Wall who has extensive experience of coordinating Communications for reputable organisations such as UNOCHA and the BBC World Service.
The event will also feature a fascinating group of panelists; Sue Jex, COO of Care4Calais and Philli Boyle, Calais Manager for Help Refugees, as well as Jaz O'Hara, the Founder of The Worldwide Tribe. Sara Pantuliano Managing Director of ODI, and Folkert Jongsma, Calais Field Coordinator for Solidarites International will round off the panel.
We shall also present a selection of case studies detailing examples of good practice and coordination from across the response.
So join us on the 5th of October at the Institution of Structural Engineers to help us build an effective and coordinated response to the refugee crisis!
