Reducing CO2 emissions through sustainable material resource management
Wed 14 December 2016, 11:00 – 12:00 CET
Co-organised with ACR+
This webinar, featuring speakers from ACR+ and Covenant of Mayors signatories, aims to demonstrate how sustainable material resource management (including waste prevention) can help cities reducing their CO2 emissions and therefore, reach the targets defined in their Sustainable Energy (and Climate) Action Plans.
The Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy brings together local authorities committed to climate change mitigation and adaptation. ACR+ is an international network of cities and regions who share the aim of promoting smart resource consumption and sustainable management of waste through prevention at source, reuse and recycling. In 2015, ACR+ and Zero Waste Europe commissioned a study realized by Eunomia on The Potential Contribution of Waste Management to a Low Carbon Economy.
