Event description
Reducing Parental Conflict - Practitioner Training

About this Event

A new suite of training is available for frontline practitioners who are working with families experiencing Inter Parental Conflict. This is in response to evidence showing that children who are in families where there is conflict between parents (whether parents are together or apart) are at a higher risk of achieving poor outcomes.

The training, which will be delivered by Knowledgepool, will be a full day course in the classroom with the expectation that an e-learning module will be completed prior to attending.

The e-learning module which will take approximately 45 minutes, will explore the evidence base for parental conflict and its impact on children.

This training will:

• Support practitioners to recognise relationship distress

• Look at the role of father/males carers and help you to understand the importance of co-parenting

• Help you build confidence in discussing parental conflict

• Bring into focus the impact of parental conflict on child development

• Explore how to support parents in finding constructive outcomes

• Give you knowledge about other local and national resources available to support parents in conflict

Please do not apply for this training if you have previously attended Brief Encounters and How to Argue Better Training.

This course is FOC.
