This session will allow us to come together to tackle sexual health disparities in Surrey's minority communities
This session is aimed at any professionals working in Surrey, and will be a face to face session that will look at how we can tackle some of the health inequalities that are faced by those from diverse backgrounds, and will explore how your role, and the organisations you represent can play in reducing these, and improve uptake to sexual health services in Surrey.
Aim
- To understand how professionals, play a vital role in promoting the sexual health promotion of all residents in Surrey.
Objectives
- To let you know the spectrum of sexual health services in Surrey.
- To understand the barriers that exist for people accessing our services including:
- Ethnically diverse groups
- LGBTQ+
- Disabled people
- Those working within the sex industry
- To understand what we can all do differently to help reduce the inequalities that exist.
- To feel confident in talking about sexual health
