About this Event

We’re running completely FREE collaboration sessions to take you on a guided tour through the Department for Education’s Teacher Workload Reduction Toolkit.

As a lead school for the West Midlands on the Workload Reduction commission for the DFE, Barr Beacon School will be running three sessions. The sessions will be led by one of the contributors to the toolkit and Deputy Head of Barr Beacon School, David Lowbridge-Ellis.

Because we know you are so busy, we are doing focused workshops for each of the three main workload areas: data, marking and planning. That means you can come along for just the one or two sessions that are most relevant to you. Of course, you are more than welcome to stay for the whole day.

Each session will begin with a detailed look at the Toolkit materials, followed by guidance about how to make them work for your context, how to remove potential barriers and ensure workload is reduced without adversely affecting pupil outcomes.

Data Management 9.00-11.00

Marking 11.30-1.30

Planning 2.00-4.00

Light refreshments will be provided.
