As the furlough scheme begins to be wound up, businesses are having to make difficult decisions to protect their future. During the COVID-19 era and beyond, this course takes an in-depth look at the legal and HR processes required to make employees redundant or vary their contracts of employment on a permanent basis. We will look at the legal process that must be followed, and consider best HR practice in order to achieve the result you are seeking. The course will look at HR tips and tactics on best practice on varying contracts, what to do if consent cannot be gained from staff members and the process to follow in order to implement the change as well as how things differ if you are making 20 or more people redundant We will also look closely at redundancy and the practical issues that arise here.
