The REnewable Energy access for Future UK Net-Zero Cooling (Reef-UKC) Research Network invites you to an engaging webinar series exploring sustainable and renewable-powered cooling solutions. Prof. Harjit Singh

Professor of Sustainable Energy Technologies, Brunel University London

Dr Singh is the Professor of Sustainable Energy Technologies at Brunel University of London (UK). His research focusses onto concentrating solar energy technologies, vacuum insulation panels and building/industrial retrofit for improved energy efficiency with over 100 peer reviewed publications in the area. He has secured multi-million research funding from UKRI, Newton Fund (UK-Egypt, UK-India), Horizon2020, Innovate UK (UK-Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Uganda, India), UKIERI-DST (UK-India) and several industrial funders based in USA, Germany and the UK. Research outputs in vacuum insulation and solar energy technologies are currently licensed for commercialisation in India and USA. He was consultant to a project for developing Vaccine Storage Devices funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He was the Chair of the International Vacuum Insulation Symposium (IVIS2021) and is the current President of the IVIS Advisory Board (2022-2024).


Helen Munro

Head of Environment & Sustainability, Pulsant (Data Centre)

Helen leads environmental sustainability at Pulsant, whose 14 regional UK data centres, connectivity and infrastructure services delivers a unique edge infrastructure platform.
She holds degrees in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield, as well as Accounting and Finance from LSE, and has worked in operations and assurance serving electrical and mechanical industries in the UK and Australia.
In sustainability, she leads the development, execution and reporting of Pulsant’s sustainability strategy, and engages on the wider systemic challenges around digital infrastructure efficiency and the energy transition. She additionally is a member of TechUK's Data Centre Council.
