Referencing: blending your own and others' ideas
Give your work support and strength by integrating others' research and findings effectively
Successful academic writing means building your own coherent argument through pulling together and effectively referencing others' findings. Easier said than done?
In this workshop, we will discuss different ways that you can effectively incorporate references. We will look at the difference between quotation, paraphrase and summary and the metaphor of "the paragraph as a sandwich". Even if you are already familiar with some of the terms and methods of carrying them out, there will be guaranteed learning in this workshop which is useful at all levels.
