Event description

Description

Currently, less than 30% of people in the UK drink tap water in a reusable bottle, despite the fact that we are lucky to have some of the best quality, free drinking water in the world.

Refill, a campaign run by City to Sea, makes refilling a reusable water bottle easy, fun and more socially acceptable than buying a single-use plastic drinks bottle. We aim to stop millions of plastic bottles at source each year, preventing plastic pollution from entering our rivers and sea. There is simply no need to buy bottled water, and we’re on a mission to inspire social change.

The Refill Cardiff campaign will officially be launched on November 28, 2018 at 10am on the 5th floor of Cardiff Central Library.

Hannah Blythyn, Minister for Environment, Councillor Michal Michael, Cabinet Member for Clean Streets, Recycling and Environment, and representatives from Cardiff Water Research Institute will be present to introduce Refill Wales and Refill Cardiff.

We'll then be sending a bunch of Refill volunteers to different areas of Cardiff to sign up Refill stations on the app and to help us make Wales the first Refill nation!

More details about the event will be communicated in the upcoming weeks. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter to receive regular updates about the campaign.

Looking forward to having you on board!

The Refill Cardiff Team.
