About this event
Fundraisers are often the passionate lifeblood of the third sector, driven by purpose, yet increasingly at risk of emotional exhaustion. In this timely and vital session, SAMH will deliver a presentation on recognising and managing stress and burnout in the fundraising profession.
This session will cover:
- Types of stress and burnout from sustained funding pressures and high-performance expectations
- Compassion fatigue from emotionally intense donor and beneficiary relationships
- Anxiety linked to job insecurity and the increasingly competitive funding environment, including VUCA
- Effectively managing work and personal life in a hybrid/remote working context
- An overview of SAMH supporting resources such as; the upcoming Nooks, Time for You service and downloadable digital resources
A keynote talk will be given by Emma Boa, Senior Manager of Workplace Delivery & Development at SAMH.
The panel discussion will comprise members of the Senior Management Team from SAMH's Income Generation & Fundraising Department, and will be chaired by Katie Flockhart, Major Donor Relations Manager at Crossreach, and Major Donor SIG Chair.
