Reflecting and learning from criminal behaviour
Event Information
About this Event
Criminal exploitation is a key concern for many professionals that work with children and young people. Through listening to Warren's story, and his subsequent imprisonment, we learn about our role as professionals to develop strategies to safeguard those in the community. As well as understanding the challenges and potential exits for those involved in criminal behaviour.
This session will be co-hosted by Warren and his sister Sarah Dove and will provide an honest reflection of issues relating to exploitation, criminal activity and mental health.
Sarah Dove along with being Warren’s sister is a senior education professional with 19 years experience in teaching and senior leadership roles in pupil referral units, alternative provision, psychiatric inpatient services, mainstream schools and children’s care homes. Sarah is currently working as Head of Behaviour and Inclusion in a London borough, executive board member of a London youth offending service and representing a national organisation for the AP and SEND reference department for education reference group.
Sarah Dove will be reflecting with Warren with the key idea of thinking differently asking, how could key professionals intervene at different points within his story for a different outcome?
There will be an opportunity to ask questions in a dedicated question and answer session.
