Multiple Dates
Reflections on a pandemic: A Windows into the Christian Faith Course (Tues)
Event Information
About this Event
As the first anniversary of the first UK lockdown approaches, many people, of all faiths and none, will find themselves reflecting on the deeper issues raised by our shared international experience of the pandemic. We do not yet, of course, have the benefit of hindsight as the world is very far from out of the danger zones yet. But it is nonetheless appropriate for us to begin to reflect on what has been happening to us all over the past year, and together to tentatively ask questions such as 'Where is God in all this?' and 'what does the Christian faith have to say about the challenges that the world now faces?
If you would like to join the discussions there are two possible sessions to enrol on, both offering the same material. Please join only one course. This Eventbrite page is for the Tuesday Afternoon Session.
As a self-funded organisation, Truro Cathedral does not receive regular government or Church of England support and has been significantly affected by the pandemic. It relies on public donations to cover the estimated annual £1.3 million it costs to maintain the cathedral and its work and continues to find ways to adapt such as delivering online courses. Windows Into courses are free, however if you would like to make a donation to help enable the continued provision of these accessible learning opportunities, your support would be very gratefully received. You can make an online donation by visiting the JustGiving page
