Description

Reflexology Diploma – 3 modules of 4 days each

Reflexology is a complementary therapy which works primarily on the feet to help heal the whole person, not just symptoms. Reflexologists understand that the feet are a mirror of the body, and that by working on areas of the feet which correspond to areas of the body, health can be maintained. It is a deeply relaxing treatment which is suitable for all ages. It may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. This gentle therapy has been shown to be effective for many common health issues such as:

  • Sleep disorders
  • Infertility
  • Arthritis
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Stress related health problems
  • Digestive problems
  • Chronic pain

Although Reflexologists cannot claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe, they know that Reflexology can be used to balance the body’s systems to help restore and maintain health and wellbeing.

Reflexology continues to grow in popularity as its benefits are becoming increasingly recognised and experienced. If you are a Complementary Therapist, becoming a qualified Reflexologist can benefit your practice in many ways:

  • It is a therapy that needs minimal resources to do a treatment, so can be very cost effective.
  • It can easily be integrated alongside and with other therapies such as Aromatherapy, Massage, foot and hand-care treatments.
  • It is kind to the therapist as it is not a physically demanding treatment
  • It is increasingly used within the NHS and in care homes, providing opportunities for therapist’s career development in this area.

Our highly qualified and experienced tutors will provide comprehensive training in Reflexology which is accredited by the FHT. Our level 3 Diploma in Reflexology is taught in three modules.

Examples of study include:

  • The History of Reflexology
  • How Reflexology helps
  • How reflexology works

Other requirements – Anatomy and Physiology qualification and Business Studies.

These 2 courses will need to be completed before a Diploma can be awarded, unless there is evidence of approved prior learning.

Throughout the course students will carry out 5 observed and assessed treatments. In addition to this students will be required to complete 40 case studies in their own time, providing evidence in written form.

As well as case study treatments, a further 15 practice treatments are required in students own time, providing written evidence of this.

Homework will be set for each module, to be completed and submitted before the next module. This will require a minimum of 14 hours of study per module. To allow plenty of time for completion of homework and case studies between modules, there will be several weeks between each module.

There will be a practical and written assessment at the end of the course

Upon successful completion a Penny Price Reflexology Diploma with FHT accreditation is issued.
