Refocusing the Debate on Employability Support
Event Information
Description
Refocusing the Debate on Employability Support and How to Rejuvenate a National Labour Market with £60,000.
Hosted by - Lord Sawyer of Darlington, Former Chair and General Secretary of the Labour Party as well as Deputy General Secretary of NUPE.
With contributions by - Ena Richards, Chief Executive of Siya Sebenza and Founder of the Work4aLiving Programme and Michael Brookes, Professor of Work and Employment, Hertfordshire Business School.
The purpose of this forum event is to outline and discuss the potential for increasing and improving the scope and scale of employability support throughout Hertfordshire and beyond as a result of utilising the resources of the Business School, including its students, to focus on employability not just on a university wide basis but across the whole of the surrounding communities. Part of the discussion will focus on our own experiences of our similar well established initiative in South Africa where we have effectively supported job seekers on a large scale, in the region of 30,000 per year, through a self-funding and sustainable network.
7th March 2019, 6-8pm, Room M232, Hertfordshire Business School
