Project Launch and Free Public Exhibition

About this Event

The Reframing Vivien Leigh project is holding a launch event and exhibition on Sunday 9th February 2020, 2.00pm - 5.30pm.

This event is free and open to all, and will include a wine reception!

There will be a range of exhibitions showcasing new research from the project and telling the story of Vivien Leigh's unique connection to the region. These will include dress artefacts, photography, artwork, digital displays and 3D models of archive artefacts, drawing on research produced in collaboration with The Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Topsham Museum, and the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum.

The day will also feature a range of speakers talking about Vivien Leigh and her South West connections and a Q&A with curators from South West Museums and the V&A. Representatives from the Vivien Leigh Circle will also be present to talk about fan archiving and collecting.

To find out more about the project, you can explore our Omeka site, or follow us on Twitter.
