Description

This walk is specially designed for anyone looking for some quiet time away from busy city life or just some time for themselves.
On the Silent, or Mindfulness, Walk participants walk calmly and silently, in groups of 3 or 4, through beautiful countryside. It is more, however, than just walking from A to B. It is an active practice while you are walking. The aim is to be aware of what is going on both in and around you. It is a walk that helps you to calm your mind, relax your body and feel at one with nature; it gives us a chance to let go of things and appreciate the present.

Why should you try Silent Walk?
 We talk all the time and our mind struggles with past and future thoughts.
 News and social media take over our daily life.
 We do not pay enough attention to the things around us.
 We are unaware of the amount of noise we make without realising.
 We’ve lost touch with nature and with our inner selves.
 We do not stop often enough to 'smell the roses'.

This walk is a 10.5Km/6.5ML circuit on forest tracks through lovely countryside with excellent views over Loch Ard. We stop for lunch and end the walk with a coffee and chat together, giving you the opportunity to share your experience with the rest of the group. Transport is included.
