The Humanitarian & Conflict Response Institute (HCRI) will be host the following speakers:


  • Dr Jessica Field - Author of 'Eviction: A Social History of Rent' (Verso, 2025) and is currently working on crisis-setting research ethics with colleagues at HCRI
  • Dr Santokh Gill - Senior Lecturer in Housing Studies at the University of Huddersfield, currently researching the housing experiences of refugees in Yorkshire and Humber.
  • Dr Anna Lindley - Reader in Migration, Mobility and Development at SOAS
  • Prof Jonathan Darling, an urban and political geographer, and author of 'Systems of Suffering: Dispersal and the Denial of Asylum'
