Join Regatta Great Outdoors for a guided walk around the Brant Fell and School Knott circuit . Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just up for a new challenge, this is a brilliant way to explore one of Yorkshires hidden gems and meet like-minded adventurers.

The Walk

Discover the quieter side of Bowness with a guided walk through the lower fells. Brant Fell and School Knott provide some of the most quintessential Lake District views, offering sweeping views over Windermere in the heart of the Lakes. It’s the perfect way to step away from the busy tourist spots and enjoy a more peaceful experience.

The route is a mix of grassy climbs, rocky outcrops, and good paths with some quiet country lanes. There’s a steep uphill start, but the descent is more gradual, making it a rewarding walk with plenty of variety. Expect one or two muddy patches, the occasional stile to climb, and plenty of characterful scenery along the way.

As you walk, you’ll be treated to stunning woodland paths, charming Lakeland cottages, and grand houses tucked away in leafy gardens. The views are a real highlight, look out for Windermere, the Langdale Pikes, and Coniston Old Man. The route finishes at the Regatta Bowness Store, where a goody bag will be waiting to round off your adventure.

Parking

We highly recommend you park as early as possible to avoid long queues and disappointment. Why not arrive before 10am and enjoy a coffee before your hike begins?

1.1. Data CollectedBy registering for the Event, the following personal data may be collected and processed:

• Full name, email address, phone number, and emergency contact information;
• Information regarding special needs, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions (if volunteered).

1.2. Purpose and Legal Basis for ProcessingYour data will be processed lawfully under Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR, as it is necessary for the performance of this contract. Specifically:

• For ticket purchase and Event registration;
• To ensure the safety and wellbeing of Participants during the Event;
• To communicate any updates, cancellations, or post-event evaluations.

1.3. Data Sharing with Third PartiesThe Organiser may share your personal data with trusted service providers acting as processors, such as:

• Ticketing platforms for registration purposes;
• Emergency services for health and safety measures during the Event.
• Any third-party processors are contractually obligated to protect your personal data in line with the UK GDPR.

1.4. Data RetentionThe Organiser will retain your personal data no longer than [12] months following the Event, unless retention is required to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. After this period, the data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

1.5. Your RightsAs a data subject, you have the following rights under the UK GDPR:

• The right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your data;
• The right to object to or restrict processing where applicable;
• The right to raise a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) for any concerns.

Waivers:

This Liability Waiver relates solely to your participation in the event organised by Regatta Ltd (the "Event").I acknowledge that participating in the Event carries inherent risks, including but not limited to accidents, falls, illness, and injury. I confirm that I am not aware of any medical, physical, or mental condition that would prevent my participation in the Event. I accept responsibility for informing a staff member of any concerns before engaging in the Event or related activities.

I assume all risks associated with participating in the Event, including falls, contact with other participants, and other risks. I understand that Regatta Ltd, to the extent permitted by applicable law is not liable for any injuries I may sustain as a result of my participation.

In consideration of my acceptance into the Event, I agree to hold harmless, waive, and release Regatta Ltd, its directors, employees, agents, representatives, service providers, and successors from any responsibility, liability, or claims arising from my participation in the Event. This release covers all activities organised by or on behalf of the Regatta Ltd.

I hereby confirm that I have read and completely understand each term of this Liability Waiver Form and execute this document of my own free will and accord for the purposes of the consideration set forth.

This Liability Waiver Form will apply throughout the world and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
