Carmen at Trevince
About this event
In collaboration with Carn to Cove, we are excited to announce, Regents Opera will perform Carmen in the beautiful gardens at Trevince.
This touring show is directed by Paul Higgins of Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the Royal Opera House, starring renowned mezzo soprano Kassandra Dimopoulou as Carmen and Howard Hutt as her Don Jose.
This fabulous production is fully staged with lighting, costumes, four cast members and accompanied by their talented pianist and Musical Director Ben Woodward.
Regents Opera (est. 2011) is a leading fringe Opera Company specialising in the larger works of the 19th & 20th centuries. The now touring company offers emerging and established singers a platform to perform major repertoire not often staged outside the major houses.
In addition, your ticket will include entry into the Trevince gardens two hours ahead of the performance, with our Cart Shed Cafe open for takeaway hot and cold drinks and sweet treats to enjoy in the performance area.
Bring picnics, rugs, chairs, coats and sun cream! We look forward to welcoming you to Trevince.
*Please note, although we love dogs, we do not allow dogs in the performance area.
**Should the weather be unkind on the day, our wet weather plan is for the performance to take place in Gwennap Church adjacent to Trevince.
