Tonight you will be entertained by 2 significant Dub Specialist Producers of roots and cultural reggae, and a super talented female vocalist. Both producers represent their record label productions and classic reggae singers. Some you will know, some you may not, but all are guaranteed to move your feet and swing your head to the melodic beats and bass tones of deep roots reggae and dub. This session is powered by the formidable Entebbe Soundsystem.

Black Redemption Records fronted by Ras Kush based in Brooklyn USA playing vintage reggae, roots & dubwise selections visits Luton for one exceptional night to showcase his catalogue of archive and fresh compositions voiced by artists like Jesse Royal and Fred Locks. He has some proper rootikal tunes for you. Lionz Den Records, fronted by Jerry Lionz based in London UK is responsible for the Cyan Tan Yah Dub also known as the Channel One soundsystem anthem, the singles were voiced by Donovan Kingjay and Lorna Asher. Lionz Den has a healthy selection of vocals and riddims on the market, including songs by The Congoes and Prince Malachi - to name a few. Sista Lexxy is one of the UK's most versatile singers, whose vocal range and delivery is complimentarily compared to Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse.

Historically, the greatest roots reggae producers include pioneers like King Tubbys, King Jammys, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Jah Shaka, Scientist, and Bunny Lee. Tonight you meet the new generation making great musical waves across the global reggae scene.

Hosted by the original Entebbe Soundsystem based in North London, known nationwide for their clean crisp tops, warm mid range, deep round bass and the mixing skills of Operator Ras P (StationFM).

In short, this night of entertainment is for everyone who loves listening and dancing to roots reggae and dub.

Where is Harveys Lounge

Harveys Lounge is the Function Rooms located upstairs in the Hall behind the Horseshoe Public House 80 Park Street in Luton Town Centre. A good landmark is the Bedfordshire University and the Chequers Pub both are within 5 mins walk to Harveys.

Is there Parking?

Parking is roadside and outside the venue. Its a popular location with several clubs and venues along the same road, so there's plenty of parking but we'd advise you to come early and get your spot.

Can I take Public Transport there?

Yes. Luton Town Train Station is serviced by two fast trains from St. Pancras Station London, with journey times from 25mins to 40mins depending on which service you use. Trains run to and from London St. Pancras through the night to around 4am. Check train times online.

Does Eventbrite charge a booking fee?
