Event description

Description

Your next big event by your Youth Forum for Cadets from across London & South!

We'll have healthcare professionals from across the NHS, St John Ambulance, the military, health charities and the private sector to talk about their job, how they got there and what you can do to give you the best chances at getting a job you'll love - including GCSE, A-level & university choices, interview preparation and everything in between.

We're focusing on the sometimes overlooked healthcare professions including pharmaceutical, research, military medicine, sports science, community healthcare, physiotherapy, podiatry, specialist pre-hospital care such as HEMS, support, technical, mental health services and administration!
These will be accompanied by the SJA-recognised HCP roles of medicine, nursing and paramedical sciences.

The day will he made up of talks and interactive activities throughout the day as well as a marketplace where you'll be able to talk 1-2-1 with the professionals!

Announced guest speakers so far include Charlotte Newman (Mental health therapeutic care worker), Dr Hannah Pool (Paediatrics), James Green (Pharmacy), King's College London (Physiotherapy), Dr Luke Tester, Mark Squirrell (Cardiac physiology), Metropolitan Police Service, Public Health England, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy Submarine Service, Sam Harrison (Clinical simulation) and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

More information, including full line-up, special guest appearances are being released in the lead up to the event - see #LScareers19 for the most up to date information and announcments!
