Theme: Aural and Oral - Ideas and techniques for teaching pronunciation, listening and speaking skills in Chinese
This is the first of our termly RJPD sessions developed by Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre, supported by the Swire Chinese Language Centre Oxford. The aim of the sessions are to gather all current and future colleagues in both practical and theoretical fields to share ideas in order to promote creativity and innovation in Mandarin pedagogy.
This first session will focus on teaching pronunciation, speaking and listening skills. All participants are encouraged to bring a couple of ideas and/or resources related to the theme with them to the session. Please see the programme below for the detailed informaiton.

14:15 - 14:45 - Workshop 1 - Develop and consolidate speaking skill(s) (facilitated by Kiky Guo, Swire Chinese Language Centre Oxford)
14:45 - 15:15 - Workshop 2 - Develop and consolidate listening skill(s) (facilitated by Yi Zhang, St Gabriel’s School)
15:15 - 15:45 - Workshop 3 - Share, Reflect and Brainstorm

Train
Radley College (postcode: OX14 2HR) is located in the village of Radley which is situated between the market town of Abingdon and the village of Kennington just outside of Oxford.
The village of Radley has its own train station, which is one stop before or after Oxford depending on the direction you are coming.
Radley College is a 10-minute walk from Radley train station.
As you exit the train station turn right and follow the road all the way to the end of the road.
