Description

On Wednesday 27 February 2019, the Oxford Patient Safety Collaborative and the Thames Valley Strategic Clinical Network will be holding the sixth Regional Maternity Shared Learning Event from 09:00 to 13:00.

This FREE event is open to all staff working within maternity services, including neonatal, anaesthetic, trainees, research and education.

This is a valuable opportunity for discussion, shared learning and networking with your regional colleagues.

We are delighted to welcome Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent OBE, Head of Maternity, Children & Young People at NHS England and National Maternity Safety Champion for the Department of Health who will deliver the opening address.

Sandy Lewis, Associate Director for Maternity Investigations, and Jimmy Walker, Medical Director for Maternity Investigations, will present on behalf of the Health Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB).

Other highlights include presentations on rare and interesting clinical cases from our partner organisations, Learning from Excellence (LfE) and the themes identified within the first year of excellence reporting in maternity, shared learning from local staff taking part in the regional Maternal and Neonatal Health Safety Collaborative (MNHSC) Local Learning Systems (LLS), the regional perinatal governance group, a perinatal mental health team and trainee doctors from the area.

The sessions will include formal presentations, poster presentations and networking opportunities with your colleagues from the Thames Valley & beyond.
