About this event

  • 7 hours

This is a pre-registration page to gauge interest and numbers for a return coach to and from Justine's in Margate on the 4th May 2024.

The idea is to make it easier and cheaper to get to and from the venue (see flyer and full deets at the bottom of this description).

Please only register if you are sure you can go and want to take this shared transport :)

NOTE - this is not the booking page for tickets to the venue/night.

We are anticipating booking a coach or minibus with a return cost of £20 per ticket (plus booking fee). This will just cover costs and the aim is to be cheaper than train and taxi.

Please select the ticket and quantity based on where you would travel from (this is a free ticket purely to help us get names and numbers).

We envisage the coach starting around 8pm at Canterbury to get to the venue by 9pm - and then leaving at 3am as the club closes.

Suggested Route/Pick Up Points

  1. Canterbury
  2. Blean
  3. Whitstable
  4. Herne Bay

We are going to close the interest for the travel on 25/04/2024 or just before, and then based on numbers will create another event to book and pay for tickets so we can book the coach.

This will be emailed straight after, and this is when you will need to pay for your reserved tickets (based on first come / first served).

Hope this all makes sense - for questions/clarifications please email travel@bluefinger.live

About young minds:
In the UK, an estimated five children in every classroom have a mental health problem and 80% of young people with mental health needs said the pandemic made their mental health worse. But it doesn't have to be this way - things can get better.
We provide young people with tools to look after their mental health. We empower adults to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives. And we give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in. https://www.youngminds.org.uk

Frequently asked questions

If I register will I get a place on the coach?

This is only registering interest - if we get enough peeps interested then we will create a new event and collect money/book the coach.

Will each pick up point be available?

If we have enough interest we will try our hardest to stick to the pick up points suggested.

How will I know exactly where I will get picked up?

If the interest is good enough we will provide exact times and pick up points when paying for the coach tickets

Is anyone making any money out of the travel booking?

No - we see a small short fall if we get fully booked which we are going to cover? - If for any reason there is an excess of money this will be donated to the charity.

Why will there be a booking fee?

As we all have full time jobs (unhappy face) we are using eventbrite to book tickets - this unfortunately requires a small booking fee - but does mean we can organise and manage this in our spare time.

Will I still have to book a ticket for the venue?

Registering interest here is NOT a ticket for the venue - however if we get enough interest and then create a coach booking event we hope to work together with the venue and have a single ticket that covers the Coach booking (and also books your free ticket for the venue/Justine's)

Free Event - what about donations?

Donations are encouraged but the event is free - if we get enough interest & book the coach we'll hold a whip round on the way there (& possibly also include a way to donate when paying for the coach tickets) - however if you book your ticket via the event/venue there is already an option for this.

Refunds?

Unfortunately once booked there will be no refunds - but there will be a mechanism for you to find someone else to go in your place - this is so we guarantee the cost of the coach is covered and no one is out of pocket. We will run a waitlist so if we can assist in exchanging we will do.
